Gyro Creative Group hires two, shifts focus to in-depth brand strategy

Gyro Creative Group doesn't like to think of itself as just a branding firm, but an strategic brand architect. It's a philosophy that is allowing the downtown-based firm to hire a couple of people over the last year.

"Companies will come to us and say, 'We need to be rebranded,'" says Matt DiDio, managing partner of Gyro Creative Group. "We go in there and do the deep dive with all the research. Once we find the core, than we do the execution."

The 12-year-old firm no employs a dozen people and half a dozen independent contractors, along with the occasional summer intern. Those positions include everything from graphic designers to web developers, and those are just the recent hires. DiDio sees this expanded focus as way to create a creative firm that fuses all types of design that can take that deep dive and make minimal trips to come up for air.

"We want to create a hub that embraces all sorts of design," DiDio says.

DiDio is optimistic about the upcoming year. He sees Gyro Creative Group hiring a few more people as it continues to expand its focus on branding.
