Final Five Productions moves to downtown, hires an intern

Final Five productions, a video-production firm, is moving to downtown Detroit from Royal Oak, attracted by the growing collection of creativity-based firms in the area.

“There is so much happening here right now and you don’t see it from the outside, at least  on a national level,” says Matt Dibble, owner of Final Five Productions.

Final Five Productions employees two people and a handful of independent contractors. It recently promoted an intern to employees status, thanks to the company doubling its customer base and raising its revenue by 200 percent over the last year. Dibble hopes to further expand his staff as he begins to target work from outside Metro Detroit.

He started the company 18 months ago after several years of working for other people. “I got tired of working for someone else, busting my butt so they can get all of the reward,” Dibble says.

Early this year, he and his wife at first were looking at moving just Final Five Productions to downtown. Not long after that they decided to make the leap themselves, too, moving to greater downtown area with their business.
