Detroit five crack Fortune’s Inner City 100 list

Five Detroit companies cracked Fortune Magazine’s Inner City 100 list, which recognizes the 100 fastest-growing businesses with an urban address across the nation.

The five Detroit area companies selected include:
• FutureNet Group – #8 on the list
• UltraLevel Systems – #28 on the list
• Micron Electrical Contracting – #79 on the list
• Ash Stevens – #81 on the list
• Tompkins Products- #90 on the list

Local leader FutureNet Group, helmed by Perry Mehta, received props from Fortune from its innovative business model, which provides large-scale computer access to 20,000 kids every day in India.

After acquiring licenses to do business with local, state and federal
governments, FutureNet’s operations expanded to the Detroit area. They
