Auto racing fans want race back on Belle Isle

Should racing return to the streets of Detroit and/or the roads on Belle Isle? Free Press readers say yes.

According to the story:

Racing fans say they would welcome Champ Car, the Indy Racing League or
Formula One back to the city, which hosted open-wheel racing in
1982-2001. Some suggested bringing the American Le Mans or the Grand-Am
sports car series to Motown, while others lobbied for a NASCAR street
race.
