Business and City Leaders Launch Downtown Detroit Partnership
The mission of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP), a new public/private partnership, is to lead, manage, and catalyze economic development in downtown Detroit.
The Greater Downtown Partnership and Detroit Downtown, Inc. recently merged to form the foundation for the new organization, the Downtown Detroit Partnership. Projects that had been in the work programs of the Greater Downtown Partnership and Detroit Downtown, Inc. will continue. These include the Lower Woodward Corridor, Eastern Market, Dequindre Cut, extensive preparation of the downtown public environment for Super Bowl XL and beyond, Detroit Aglow holiday lighting, and others.
