Ladels Children’s Book Boutique opens its doors in Corktown

Ladels Children’s Book Boutique will celebrate its grand opening on June 13. It is located next-door to Eph McNally’s Deli in the former O’Leary’s Tea Room.

Ladels’ book selection includes international, Spanish-language, spiritual and classic titles. “We try to stay away from books that you can find anywhere,” says owner Lauren Walker Thomas. The store also will host twice-daily story-telling sessions. The patio will be used for birthday parties and other special events.

The grand opening will feature story-telling sessions Wednesday and Thursday, a Parade Company float on Friday and Native American dancers and story-teller on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Ladels is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. and Sunday, noon until 5 p.m.
