Here are some projects planed:
RIVERWALK: Currently under construction, the first portion of this
pedestrian path will span 3 1/2 miles. Ultimately, the aim is to have
more than 5 miles for walking, bicycling and roller skating extending
on both sides of the Renaissance Center.
UNIROYAL SITE: Retiring Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome
Bettis is a partner in a company that plans to build housing on the
former site of the Uniroyal tire plant.
CITY-OWNED LAND: Announcement expected within weeks for plans for
mixed-use development on more than 100 acres owned by the city.
GM LAND: General Motors Corp. announced the selection of a developer
for a commercial and residential project just east of the Renaissance
Center.
