Excerpt:
My cousin and I stayed in the three-story Roehm House, which featured a
wraparound porch that made me want to bring out some sweet tea and wave
to the neighbors. But it was too cold for that. Our third-floor room
was small - more like an attic where we were sure the help must have
stayed in another era. But with its olive and peach walls and its views
of the garden terrace, it was snug and perfect.
