Brush Park Village North to break ground next month

Brush Park Village North
will break ground this spring on its 13-unit first phase, located at
the corner of John R and Erskine. The new-construction development
includes five unique housing options: four-level duplexes, “soft
lofts,” garden-level studios, townhomes and carriage homes. The units
range in size from 834 to 2,111 square feet and in price from $144,900
to $364,900.

Brush Park Village North will eventually consist of
26 units; Phase 2 will be sited one block east at the corner of Brush
and Erskine. Eventually, the developer, Hip City Living, LLC, plans to
rehab four buildings they own situated on parcels between the two
phases of Brush Park Village North. They also plans future rehab and
new construction projects on Mack, just north of their current
development.

Brush Park Village North exterior features wire-cut
brick exteriors, 30-year shingles, hardy plank and limestone. Director
of marketing, Charlotte Wilsher says, “We’re not using any vinyl. We’re
trying to conform with the community of Brush Park and what it once
was.”

The kitchens feature Kohler fixtures, granite countertops
and Whirlpool stainless steel appliances—and Hip City is currently
working on a deal with IKEA for the cabinetry. Purchasers will be able
to customize wall colors and other finishes.

Wilsher says that
Hip City “realizes that we are in competition with all these other loft
developments. But we are a totally different project.” The
development’s model will be located in the first of two Phase One
buildings to be constructed.

The development team includes
Majestic Ventures, Endeavor Development and A-Mac Builders. All
construction and sales will be managed in house.
