Model D TV: Kales Building
When the Kales Building was rehabbed into apartments downtown, it took the vacant Kresge HQ and transformed a corner of the city. Model D TV takes a look inside.

A few years ago, Bob Bates bought the Kales Building at $1 a square foot, for $135,000, and spent $17 million to
redevelop the 1917 building. Now the former headquarters for Kresge houses 116 apartments with high end amenities. The building is at 76 W. Adams Avenue In Grand Circus Park.
