Downtown drinks: Motor City Wine hosts first official tasting of 2010

Motor City Wine

March 5, 6 p.m.-midnight

Motor City Wine, another of one fave new indie businesses that have spread their wings over the Detroit commercial landscape, is planning its first real wine tasting party of 2010. They did have an impromptu Spanish wine tasting soiree earlier this year, and some sweet loft-style special music events but this, co-owner David Armin-Parcells, is back to the real deal. MCW will be introducing new selections from various regions of the world, worthy of the business’ “Value Boutique” tag. We like the way that sounds. Only $20 get’s you in, with hors d’oeuvres and great music part of the bargain.

Friday, March 5, 6 p.m. – midnight. Motor City Wine is at 608 Woodward Avenue, suite 200 (just south of Campus Martius, in downtown Detroit.
