Upscale dry cleaners open in the heart of Downtown
Kurt and Giselle Kunzat, owners of a Shelby Township dry cleaners, have expanded into downtown Detroit.
McKig Cleaners opened its new location 535 Griswold, in the Buhl Building.
Giselle Kunzat says there are few cleaners providing service in the downtown area. “Our customers are very excited that we opened, they say we are very needed. Every week we are growing.”
McKig’s offers a pick-up and delivery service to several companies downtown, including 400 Compuware employees.
Matching the beauty of the Buhl lobby, McKig’s interior boasts granite countertops and glass doors with gold trim, with access directly from Griswold and the lobby area.
“I love it Downtown, it’s so beautiful,” says Giselle Kunzat. “More people need to bring their businesses here. I drive an hour one way to come here every day, and it’s worth it.”
McKig’s hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
