Luxury lofts and Boston-Edison mansion featured on national TV show
“What You Get for the Money,” a TV show on the Fine Living Network
and HGTV, has been recently showcasing unique Detroit properties along
with properties of the same price points in other U.S. cities.
The
network contacted Realtor Sabra Sanzotta after viewing her Web site,
she says. “They contacted me because I have several loft, contemporary
and interesting listings, which is what the show is looking for, and
one thing lead to another,” says Sanzotta.
So far four of Sanzotta’s properties have been highlighted in three
episodes. At the $200,000 to $300,000 range, units in 200 River Place
Lofts and Art Center Townhomes were showcased; the show filmed a unit
in Garden Court for the $400,000 price point; and a mansion located at
101 Boston Blvd. topped off the high-dollar range. Another property,
located at 309 E. Ferry, really caught the producer’s eye and was made
a feature in the show “Homes Across America.” Other properties outside
of Sanzotta’s portfolio have also been filmed, such as a unit in
Rivertown Lofts, which was valued at $700,000.
The show is an opportunity for people around the country to see how
much bang they can get for their buck in Detroit compared to other
cities. It also allows viewers to see all the unique residential
choices that are in Detroit.
Episodes featuring Detroit properties can be viewed in reruns. For show times, click here for Fine Living and here for HGTV. Sanzotta also will have video clips from the show on her Web site, www.sabra-realestate.com, sometime this month.
