First phase of 55 W. Canfield Lofts sells out in a month

The first phase — 10 of 30 units — at 55 W. Canfield lofts in Midtown sold out in a month, says developer Colin Hubbell.

Housed in the original Graybar Electric building, built in 1926, “these are authentic lofts in an industrial building,” says Hubbell, of Hubbell Group Development. “We kept that industrial flavor.”

The spaces are completely open, with the option to add three-quarter partition walls upon request. The units offer “authenticity and simplicity,” says Hubbell.

A total of 30 units will be constructed ranging from under 700 square feet at $150,000 to 1,000 square feet at $200,000, with the opportunity to combine units.

The units will be sold in three phases of 10 units. “Phase I of the project sold out in about a month,” says Hubbell. Phase II units will be released early next year, but a waiting list has already begun to accumulate.
