Restoration to resume on the Book-Cadillac Hotel

Residents and stakeholders received their first opportunity to examine a revised plan to restore the Book-Cadillac Hotel on Thursday, Oct. 13.

Excerpts from the article:

Crews have mostly completed interior demolition, effectively preparing the Book-Cadillac for restoration.

A new team lead by the Cleveland-based Ferchill Group appears to have a new financing plan for the project. At a Brownfield Redevelopment Authority public hearing a representative for the developers said they believe restoration work will begin early next year.

They estimated the project would take 18 months to transform 26 floors of the Book-Cadillac into a luxury hotel. A second component of the project – developing the top seven floors of the building into condos – will take longer to complete.
