Detroit lines up for free Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream

Detroiters were treated to free ice cream, Thursday, for the grand opening of the Ben & Jerry’s at the Compuware Headquarters in Detroit.

Excerpts from the story:

– Detroiters were treated to free ice cream, Thursday, for the grand opening of the Ben & Jerry’s at the Compuware Headquarters in Detroit.

– The new Ben & Jerry’s is a “partnershop” with the Goodwill Industries of Detroit. It is owned and operated by a non-profit. At-risk youth train for 4 weeks at Goodwill’s Detroit Career Center, then apply those skills on the job and get paid.

– The store will be giving away ice cream until 5 p.m.
