The for-profit professional league, whose players must have earned
their undergraduate degree, insists it will not be a minor league and
will not compete with the NFL.
“We will market ourselves as a
professional football league,” said Keenan Davis, the AAFL’s vice
president of football operations and business development.
Ticket
prices are expected to begin at $10. Each team will have a 42-man
roster, a four-man practice squad, use college rules and play most
games on Saturdays.
