The Detroit area’s Thai restaurant chain, Bangkok Cuisine, will open an express service restaurant in Midtown, the first Bangkok Cuisine within the city.

Located at 4216 Woodward in the same building as Beans and Bytes, the new restaurant will have a fast-food style counter as well as seating for 50 dining in.

Construction on the 3,000-square-foot space is expected to be finished by the end of the month.  Owner Somunk “Sandy” Arpachinda said an opening date is not final, but could be soon after the end of construction.  Renovation on the building converted three former retail spaces into the restaurant’s area.

The restaurant will be open all week-long and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

This will be the 6th Bangkok Cuisine restaurant in the Detroit Metro area.

“We were the first successful Thai Restaurant in Michigan,” said Arpachinda.  “Hopefully the new restaurant will do well.”
