So we are teaming up with our sister publication, Metromode, to send food writer Dorothy Hernandez diving into the scenes to uncover new restaurants, neighborhood stalwarts, and cuisine trends worth knowing about.

More than 20 dining destinations in Southwest Detroit are celebrating a 10-day foodie festival, back for its third year following a pandemic pause. This year’s event will run through Sunday, Oct. 9. as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, and has become a social tool to increase awareness of diversity in Detroit.
