Lo & Behold

May 11, 8 p.m.

By now we’re absolutely sure that you’ve been over to Lo & Behold, the book and record shop in Hamtramck that also features live music entertainment of the indie psych-folk-rock-blues variety. No? Well, what are you waiting on?

This weekend, the monthly Folk Blues Night features a release party for the cassette only collection Give Me No Trouble in the World I Know. It’s the first of a series of traditional music compilations recorded live at Folk Blues Night at Lo & Behold.

Last month, Rollie Tussing, Todd Albright and John Roundcity joined hosts Dan Kroha and Dave Morrison. Check out the April jam here.

As is part of this new tradition, the Detroit 78 Society will be going late into the night with a DJ-driven dance party. Check out the mixtape here.

Performances start at 8 p.m. No cover but donations are most welcome.
