A Woodward Avenue Albert Kahn-designed structure is being redeveloped
by PPM Acquisitions of Troy. The building, at 3408-3414, is located
between the Bonstelle Theatre and the Crystal Lofts.

When Woodward was widened in 1926, the building was moved back 40 feet.
In the process, the lower part of the facade was resdesigned in an Art
Deco motif.
"We're trying to get the ground floor closer to the original Arts-and-Crafts than the Art Deco," Rockind says.
Developer Adam Nyman says PPM hopes to have the building finished by
spring. They're looking for some sort of interesting retail for the
ground floor -- "a restaurant or something of that sort," Nyman says --
and offices upstairs.
