They practice all year for this. And now they're on their way. The Detroit Slam Team is traveling to Madison, Wisconsin, to try and bring home the gold - or, at least, the equivalent to that.

Our 2008 Detroit Slam Team will represent Detroit, the Java Exchange and the EchoVerse Poetry Series in national competition this year in Madison, Wisconsin from August 3rd thru 9th. Team members will rehearse and workshop performances weekly; develop collective works; and fundraise through out the summer.
