DMCVB unveils new TV commercials targeting young travelers in Great Lakes region

The Detroit Metro Conventions and Visitors Bureau has released a series of three commercials targeted at young tourists, in the 21- to 34-year-old range, that live in the Great Lakes Region. The ads emphasize gambling, sports, entertainment and dining and will be broadcast on MTV and Comedy Central in the Cleveland and Grand Rapids markets to start.

The Detroit Metro Conventions and Visitors Bureau has released a series
of three commercials targeted at young tourists, in the 21- to 34-year-old range, that live in
the Great Lakes Region. The ads emphasize gambling, sports,

“A year of extensive research for our new brand identified this
demographic as the best target audience for leisure visitors to metro
Detroit,” bureau Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Christopher Baum said in a news release.
