Since its formation in 1975, Preservation Detroit has made it its mission to preserve Detroit’s rich and diverse architectural legacy, to help shield the city’s historic buildings and districts from the wrecking ball. Over time, the organization’s historical walking tours have increasingly become a key component in its mission to spread awareness and build appreciation for Detroit’s unique history.
