Rockers uptown: Brian Gillespie and Mister H drop pressure at New Center Park

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

New Center Park

July 22, 9 p.m.

Brian Gillespie is one of our favorite Detroit music personalities. He’s been in the background and foreground for local dance parties since the 1990s. He DJs and produces under various project names, even producing his own self-promotional T-shirts and other gear. Our favorite: Gillespie Hustles Harder. Yes, he does.

This Friday, July 22, 9 p.m. at New Center Park (E. Grand Boulevard at Second Avenue), hang out with Gillespie and Mister H as they play bub, reggae, dancehall, Brazilian funk, Afrobeat, soul, Latin, Detroit classics and other hot styles. While you’re there, check out the cool visuals on the big screen

Oh, and it’s free. See you there.
