Title Source looks to hire hundreds in downtown now

Last summer, Title Source made a big splash with its move to downtown, bringing 1,500 new workers to the First National Building overlooking Campus Martius. Now the property title company is making waves with its plans to add hundreds of new positions its downtown headquarters.

Title Source plans to hire 375 people by March, filling jobs for technologists, title work professionals and escrow officers, among others. "It's a wide variety," says Jeff Eisenshtadt, president of Title Source.

The recent bump in refinance work and commercial title work is helping fuel this expansion. Title Source has committed to taking up 10 floors of the First National Building and has an option for an eleventh floor of the 25-floor skyscraper designed by Albert Kahn.

"We have three more floors being delivered to us by March," Eisenshtadt says. "Each floors fits about 220 people. We have a few hundred folks at our suburban office in Troy that we have been bringing down here."

Title Source is a title, appraisal, and settlement services company. It bills itself as the largest independent provider of title insurance, property valuations and settlement services in the nation.
