First Element Entertainment aims for growth at Detroit Creative Corridor Center

First Element Entertainment plans to ramp up its growth over the next year or two now that it has joined the Creative Ventures Acceleration Program at the Detroit Creative Corridor Center.

"It's really a great fit for us," says Adrian Walker, CEO of First Element Entertainment. "It's a collaboration space with other people in the creative arts."

First Element Entertainment specializes in film, animation and mobile technology work. The 3-year-old start-up is shifting that focus to a more tech-oriented theme and plans to work more on offering its customers a well-rounded package. For instance, it will do its traditional animation and web development work and also offer to handle the branding and social media campaign that comes with it.

"It's full service," Walker says. "Our team can create an animated piece for them and do the marketing campaign. It's a complete package."

First Element Entertainment currently employs six people, an intern and stable of independent contractors. Walker hopes to expand that team with more hires as his start-up progresses through the Detroit Creative Corridor Center's Creative Ventures Acceleration Program over the next year.
