Sachse Construction has opened an office in downtown Detroit that will serve as a hub for the Birmingham-based firm’s work in the city.

Sachse Construction is working on renovations for the Chase Tower and Madison Building, both buildings serve as key structures to the expansion of Quicken Loans and the entrepreneurial efforts of its founder, Dan Gilbert. Sachse Construction choose the nearby Guardian Building, a classic example of 1920s Art Deco architecture, for its office.

“It’s one of the most beautiful building’s in the city,” says Todd Sachse, president of Sachse Construction. “It’s a great space.”

The new office will be staffed by one person full-time and a rotating group of half a dozen people. Sachse Construction also has an office in St. Thomas, Ontario outside of its Birmingham headquarters.
