Rick Snyder envisions Detroit outpost, talks strengthening urban areas

some Republican candidates for governor, Snyder campaigned actively in
Detroit before the Nov. 2 election and repeatedly said in campaign
speeches that revitalizing urban areas is a priority. He also said
Michigan can’t be a great state again until Detroit is once again a
great city.
