Detroit’s first ever Restaurant Week was a success, bringing in an estimated 27,000 restaurant-goers.

Organizers of the first Detroit Restaurant Week reported today
that the 10-day promotion drew more than 27,000 visitors to the city’s
fine dining establishments and 64 percent of those participated in the
special three-course dinner menu.

“We were confident that
this type of promotion would be embraced by the community but the
response it received surpassed our expectations for a first year
event,” Jason Huvaere, president of Paxahau Promotions Group, said in a press release.
