RegainGo has won $5,000 worth of seed capital at Start Garden, an entrepreneurial contest based in Grand Rapids.

The TechTown-based startup plans to put the money toward further developing its software as it preps to relaunch its website later this fall. RegainGo is creating a platform that connects local contractors with local projects by providing contractors a way to showcase the projects they have already finished. It’s currently working on the dashboards that will help those contractors showcase their projects.

“(The seed capital) will help our team build out those dashboards,” says Jason Beale, co-founder & COO of RegainGo.

The company is also working on mapping software that will allow its users to see what projects have been completed in their communities. Beale expects to launch the service within the next month.

It is working with a number of different home owners associations in Metro Detroit, such as the one in Palmer Woods, University District and Indian Village, among others in Detroit and the suburbs. It is also partnering with other contractor organizations, such as the Home Builders Association of Southeast Michigan, to drive more traffic to its site.
