The inability to flush toilets could make this even worse. And, of course, these households still need water for drinking, cooking, and mixing infant formula.  

TechTown accepting applications for emergency fund for small businesses affected by COVID-19

In an effort to connect Detroit’s most vulnerable businesses to capital and help mitigate the effects of the coronavirus on small businesses, TechTown will administer working capital grants in amounts of up to $5,000 to qualifying small businesses through the Detroit Small Business Stabilization Fund.

Folk to offer groceries, grab-and-go items in response to COVID-19

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Folk will offer soups, salads, and sandwiches for takeout and delivery as well as locally sourced groceries and paper products such as the hot commodity toilet paper. Customers can purchase online to pick up curbside as well as delivery. Grocery items are mostly available walk-in and curbside pickup, and if there is demand Folk will also offer delivery. The hope is that the services will allow her to bring back her laid-off staff.
