Mid-Med Lofts offers luxury living in the city

Located on the corner of East Canfield and John R are 37 loft-style units for sale. Mid-Med Lofts, formerly the Melrose Hotel, is now being renovated into residential living space, along with four commercial units for lease, a car wash and a private surface parking area. Of the 37 units, 14 are already reserved.

Like several other luxury lofts in Detroit nowadays, hardwood floors, ceramic tile bathrooms, granite countertops, gourmet kitchens, stainless steel appliances and a weight room are all standard features at Mid-Med Lofts.  “In Detroit, people want quality finishes,” said JB Peabody, who has partnered with Matt Summers for Mid-Med Lofts. “As majority of those who have reserved our lofts thus far are actually moving back here from the suburbs.  Some of these people are used to living in 6,000-square-foot homes and are moving here because they like the buzz of the city and like being able to walk to work and to area restaurants. But, they don’t want to compromise on the luxury-style living either.” Hence, “what you see as upgrades in most other areas, we offer as standard features here,” Peabody added.

Mid-Med lofts are priced in the $170,000s.
