Loveland

May 10, 6 p.m.

LOVELAND Technologies, headed by Jerry Paffendorf, invites one and all to come see, discuss, and practice a new community service for mapping and planning neighborhoods in Detroit.

LOVELAND wants to help every neighborhood association, block club, community group, ragtag collective and motivated individual map and control the future of their city.

Building on it Whydontweownthis website, the group will be developing an easy way to record and share what’s going on in places you care about, property by property, and showcase that information to neighbors, doers, funders, and city government.

It’s free. It’s good putting-people-first kind of work. The event is 6 p.m Friday, May 10 at LOVELAND, 1514 Washington Blvd., downtown Detroit.
