New Midtown gourmet grocer Zaccaro's Market opened its doors last week, drawing throngs of enthusiastic shoppers.

Retail-starved Detroiters are reveling today in the launch of a new fresh-food market on Woodward Avenue.
"This is the happiest day of my Detroit life!" exclaimed Meghan McEwen, 32, as she walked into Zaccaro's Market this morning.
The small gourmet grocery in the city's Brush Park neighborhood opened today following much anticipation from nearby residents.
McEwen, who lives in Corktown, wasn't
alone. Some 40 people were waiting in line to get in when the store
opened at 7 a.m. Throughout the morning, a steady stream of shoppers
seemed elated at its arrival.
