Would-be Detroit entrepreneurs have an ally in Wayne State University's
Small Business Law Center. Twenty-eight have been aided by the clinic
since it opened in January 2007.

"The
Michigan economy has been ailing for a while, and part of the reason is
lack of diversity," she said. "Small businesses create the most new
jobs, and creative entrepreneurs need the resources to successfully
create new jobs."
