TEDC aims to make Detroit prime tourist destination

The Oakland Press wishes success to the Tourism and Economic Development Council's efforts to attract young travelers to Downtown and four other Tourism Destination Districts in Metro Detroit.

Christopher Baum, senior vice president, sales and marketing, said this group is most likely to pick up at the last moment and make a two or three day trip somewhere or take off for the weekend. Baum says the bureau wants Detroit to be this group's prime destination.
