Detroit students get hands-on experience restoring historic home

Detroit High School students from A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical Center are putting their knowledge of construction to work by restoring a house at Historic Fort Wayne.

The 8-week project, called Preservation Field Study: Building Arts Lab, is funded by a $28,000 grant from the state's Historic Preservation Office.
