St. John Hospital and Medical Center has been ranked in the top 100
hospitals across the country in a study conducted by Thomson Healthcare.

Thomson scored facilities on eight measures: mortality index and
complications, average length of stay, expense per discharge, operating
profit margin, cash to total debt and the core measures score.
A
spokesperson for St. John said the Thomson study showed that Providence
and St. John Hospital treated sicker patients yet had better patient
outcomes and lower costs than most hospitals.
