SEMCOG’s and MAC’s inclusion “in the collaborative effort to align
private, public and nonprofit sectors particularly in the area of
regional transit will significantly enhance the success of this key
priority area,” said Edsel Ford II, who convened One D’s six initial
members in the fall of 2006, in a written statement.
From the
beginning, One D’s vision has been “to connect with the substantial
body of work already being done in the region that aligns with defined
priorities,” he said.
