It's that time of year again. Hotter Than July -- Detroit's annual, black, LGBT pride week -- begins July 17 and runs through the 25th. The annual festival, part of the week for the past 15 years, will go on as planned in Palmer Park, although there is talk of moving it next year. (Read the PrideSource story
here.)
This year's events include the annual Ruth Ellis March (July 17), a film fest (July 20 at Focus Hope), plus boat tours, conferences, music, entertainment and the annual Palmer Park festival (noon-8 p.m. July 24).
The event is sponsored by the Detroit Black Pride Society. Click
