Rivertown loft dweller loves his luxury space

Excerpts from the story:

It's impossible for Anthony Curis to choose what he likes most about his quad-level loft-condominium on the outskirts of downtown Detroit. To him, everything about it is spectacular.

And it's unique -- designed so differently that, like Curis, it's impossible for me to point to just one room that should be showcased as this month's unique home feature. So for February, we're highlighting the entire 3,300-square-foot condo.

Located in the Lofts at Rivertown on East Jefferson, the condo has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and two kitchens. It's open and airy, with 24-foot ceilings in some areas and tons of exposed brick. He bought a two-bedroom unit in 2003 while he was still a college student studying business at Oakland University. Then Curis, 25, set his eyes on expanding into the unit directly below him last year.

"When I originally bought the first unit, I didn't think I'd buy a second one, but the way the city has appreciated, I know the investment will definitely pay off.

"But the investment is less than secondary," he said. "I love it here. I plan on being here a long time. It will be tough for me to leave here."
