Suburban, state and city leaders need to operate as a region

Columnist Rochelle Riley writes:

Detroit's next generation of leaders knows it: They're buying lofts in the Woodward corridor and waiting to reserve condos along the revived riverfront.

... And for goodness' sake, let's talk to each other -- like people who all want the same thing, a city the nation no longer points to and shakes its head.
