Three days of dancing, beats, and, well, dancing. That's Detroit's Movement festival, put on each year by the guys over at Paxahau. Sometimes I think we Detoiters forget just how big this festival is. So, here's a reminder. The
New York Post ranked it No. 1 for music fests around the nation.

Detroit is famous for its Motown sound, and more recently, its rappers,
but it's also home to one of the world's largest festivals of electronic
music. More than 90,000 devotees of synthesizers, drum machines and
sequencers will descend on Hart Plaza on Detroit's riverfront for three
days, dancing and waving their glo-sticks to house music from noon to
midnight. The 100-odd performers on five stages include the
chart-topping Inner City techno guru Model 500 and Plastikman (a k a
Richie Hawtin). Perhaps not surprisingly, the fest is "powered" by Ford.
