The Detroit Historical Museum's 10-week, $800,000 makeover has "visibly improved" the museum, writer Roger Green says.
Excerpt from the story:
Among the new attractions are the exhibits "New to the Collection'' and
"Treasures from the Collection,'' featuring historic items not usually
displayed. New, too, are the exhibits "Fabulous Five: Detroit's Music
Legends'' and "Digital Dress: Women About Town.'' Two mini exhibits,
"Detroit Then & Now'' and "Automotive Showplace,'' occupy spaces
freed during the museum makeover.
