Detroit isn't necessarily the fashion capital of the world. For most people the city's fashion is a winter coat in the brutal cold and a t-shirt, or less, in the sweltering heat. But, that's not the entire case. There is a fashion industry here in the city and it's one that local designer Dana Keaton says has the potential to expand into the radars of the nation.

"Fashion is growing here in the city of Detroit, and I want to be a
part of that growing and thriving environment," said Keaton, owner of
DivaGroove. "Even though the economy is not so positive, we still find
time to shop.
"With the help of metropolitan Detroit residents,
Detroit could become a fashion capital like New York, Chicago and L.A.
People go to those cities to shop; why not just shop here?"
