SBXL program brings in $10.1 million in contracts for up-and-coming businesses

The Super Bowl XL Host Committee says its emerging-business program generated $10.1 million in spending through 300 contracts — the most in the program’s history.

According to the story:

Local minority- and woman-owned businesses benefited from training and networking to help them compete for contracts with the host committee, the NFL, corporate sponsors and event coordinators.

In addition, the host committee report said that more than $2 million is expected to be donated to nonprofits in the tri-county area from sanctioned charity events.
