Michigan ranks second in rail trails, which are bike paths that run along old rail lines. In August the Dequindre Cut will be open for riding, adding to that ranking. In all 25 miles of traffic-free trails and paths will be added to Michigan this summer.

Boosters of these recreation routes say the
