Wayne State University think tank looks at how the arts create a 'destination city'

The Center for Arts and Public Policy (CAPP) at Wayne State University is set to publish a study that explores how the arts can turn a city into a major tourist destination.

In a few weeks, CAPP expects to publish its latest study, "The Arts and Culture Process of Economic Development: An Effective Resource for Community Growth," which makes the point, as its title implies, that arts and culture form one of Michigan's key industries and that they contribute "to the energy and excitement of ... dynamic destination cities."
