Detroit loves a good museum about cars and the New York Times has the article to prove it

The New York Times put together a list for the car enthusiast. It's car museum list, a few of which are in Detroit. One of our personal favorites is the Model T Heritage Complex on Piquette Avenue. When we're talking automotive history, that brick building is where it all started.

Excerpt from the New York Times:

AUTOMOBILES still rule in Michigan, even if the industry does not. Museums -- brick and mortar paeans to all things automotive -- dot the state's landscape, from the venerable Henry Ford and the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn to the lesser known Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum in Marysville and the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners.

With an 1897 Oldsmobile, the original 1902 Ford 999 racecar and Detroit's most powerful muscle cars, there are offerings to sate all interests. Here are some of the collections that visitors might consider; all are in Michigan and within an easy drive of downtown Detroit.
